Welcome all 2nd graders!
Our year is well underway and we are off to a great start! We have been learning so many new things specific to being 2nd graders and stepping up to a new and more challenging level of learning.
We are all excited to see ourselves grow. We have been setting goals as a class and individually so we can track our growth throughout the year.
I am excited as your teacher to watch you grow and I have already seen such growth already this year in maturity and the new and higher expectations you have set for yourselves as 2nd graders.
I would like to remind you all to read every night at least 20 minutes. Reading fluency is a big focus for us this year and I know we can ALL reach our goal of reading 100 words per minute by the end of the year if we remain committed to our reading growth!
